Journaling is like the dynamic cousin of your high school diary.  Not only is it a landing pad for jotting down the day’s events, but it can be a versatile tool for self-growth.

We're going to teach you how to use your journal as a tool; for deepening personal insights, enhancing your overall happiness, increasing your immunity and even better understanding your dreams.

We're excited to help you start and maintain the right journaling practice for your lifestyle.

I use my journal to record exercise, calendars, plans for the week, minutia, and then the good stuff - sex, relationships, spirituality, what I'm learning as a human being, funny stuff my kids say and do, what makes me angry, sad, hopeful etc. - Jill

Your Instructor

Greetings! I’m Jennifer Convissor, LCSW and I'll be your guide on this journey.

I have maintained a journaling practice for over 30 years. My practice has helped me better understand myself and how I interact with the world. For example, journaling give me an outlet to honestly vent about, and then reflect on, challenges in my relationships, or sketch and flesh out visions for future goals.

For over 15 years, I've been teaching these techniques in person and am excited to now offer them here on Teachable!

I have a background in creative writing and comparative psychology from Sarah Lawrence College. My graduate degree was earned at Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service, with a focus on the impact of family history and cultural systems on personal development.
